AMD (Advanced Mineral Dosification)
Water soluble dosage nutrients
AMD, a polymer based moisture retention product, is used to increase water and nutrient retention in soils. It acts as a water reservoir that releases moisture according to the plant’s needs.
When it comes into contact with water, AMD quickly absorbs it, taking in both water and nutrients. Later, as the soil dries, the polymer releases both water and nutrients back into the root zone.
Advantages of using AMD
Improved planting: Enhances seed germination rates and seedling transplant survival.
Roots: Stimulates root development and increases resistance to growth related diseases.
Water savings: Promotes water savings, drought resistance, increases soil water reserves, and improves irrigation and rainfall efficiency.
Soil permeability: Improves soil permeability and the use of organic matter.
Fertilization: Enhances fertilization efficiency, reduces nutrient loss, and protects groundwater.
Ideal for plants: Does not cause long term damage, and improves soil fertility.
AMD Application According to Use Case
Pots and beds
The amount of product will depend on the type of substrate and plant aeration.
The more aerated the substrate, the higher the required dose.
Reference dose: 1.5–3 kg/m³ or 1.5–3 g/liter.
Root maintenance for transplanting
During handling, temporary storage, and transport, roots lose water, reducing survival rates. As a preventive measure, mix the substrate with the polymer and water, then dip the roots into the mixture. This keeps them hydrated.
AMD retains large amounts of water while still allowing roots to breathe.
Ratio:
1 g AMD / 150 g water / 200 g substrate
Transplanting trees and shrubs
The size of the tree or shrub determines the amount of AMD to use.
Dose:
Planting hole 30×30×30 cm: 60–100 g per tree
Planting hole 40×40×40 cm: 120–180 g per tree
Large trees with irrigation: 260–360 g per tree
Large trees without irrigation: 300–400 g per tree
Reforestation (small saplings): 3–40 g per plant
Application:
Apply dry. Prepare the planting hole so it holds the root ball plus space for future growth.
Add 1/3 of the dose to the bottom.
From the removed soil, save 1/3 for the final 5 cm top layer.
Mix the remaining 2/3 of the AMD with 2/3 of the soil and fill the hole after placing the tree.
Finish with the remaining soil as the top layer.
Application for already planted trees
Trees with irrigation: 260–360 g/tree
Trees without irrigation: 300–400 g/tree
Small trees with irrigation: 160–240 g/tree
Small trees without irrigation: 180–260 g/tree
Shrubs with irrigation: 60–80 g/shrub
Shrubs without irrigation: 80–100 g/shrub
Application with drip irrigation systems
Apply dry.
Dig holes 20–30 cm in diameter and 30–40 cm deep next to each dripper.
Distribute the product equally among the holes.
Place 1/3 at the bottom and mix 2/3 with the backfill soil.
Leave the top 5 cm untreated.
Application without drip irrigation
Apply dry.
Make several holes 20–30 cm wide and 30–40 cm deep, 30–40 cm away from the trunk, avoiding root damage.
Add 1/3 of the product at the bottom, mix 2/3 with the soil, and finish with soil covering the top 5 cm.
Application for fruit trees
AMD increases access to water and fertilizer for at least 5 years.
Typical dose: 200 g per tree
Applying to turfgrass
Apply AMD on the soil before planting. Incorporate it into the top 10–20 mm of soil.
Then seed or lay sod.
Dose: 50–100 g/m²
Structural mixes of gravel and soil
Structural soil mixtures are highly permeable. Adding AMD increases water retention and improves blending.
Dose: 1–3 kg/m³ or 1–3 g/liter
